Global Film Festival Concert Promotional Videos

The William & Mary Wind Ensemble partners with the W&M Global Film Festival this Sunday, February 16th, at 4 PM in the Kimball Theater to present a multimedia performance featuring film clips set to live music. As a part of the 2014 Film Festival, the content will revolve around Journeys and Passages. In preparation, Wind Ensemble students, led by trombone player Matt Baker, have put together a video of their own:

Spring Tour to Carolinas

The WM Wind Ensemble will tour to North Carolina and South Carolina from March 13th to 16th, 2014.  In addition to four concerts at area high schools for instrumental music students, the Wind Ensemble, in partnership with the Charleston WM Alumni Association, will perform a special concert at Ashley Hall School in Charleston, South Carolina on Friday, March 14th at 8pm. WMWE Tour Flyer

Concert Tour of China: May 2015!

The Wind Ensemble will tour Beijing and Shanghai in May, 2015.  Concert program will feature commissioned premieres by W&M Composer Brian Hulse and solo performances by W&M Trumpet Professor David Vonderheide (Principal Trumpet, Virginia Symphony). Also on the program will be works by Holst, Vaughan Williams, and Gabrieli.

Winter Concert: West Side Story and more

The William and Mary Wind Ensemble’s annual Winter Concert features the fantastic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Bernstein. This special version of the work was created expressly for the US Marine Band by celebrated arranger Paul Lavender.
